Creative classroom: Schoolchildren of the 2C design their classroom itself

Ulrichsberg. A very special project was carried out by the 2C students at the Ulrichsberg middle school: they have renovated their classroom themselves. After a year full of planning and hard work, the result is now visible and delights everyone involved.

The students were not only craftsmen, but also creative minds. You have used your knowledge in different subjects to make your classroom into a more beautiful place of learning. For example, in math lessons, they took the dimensions of the room, calculated areas and researched the costs for materials. In subjects such as biology and drawing, they discussed the health effects of the different materials and at the same time learned something about color theory. Artistic work also included, in which the students not only wrote, but also creatively carved and seamed to create personal seat cushions and a class cross.

Creative financing ideas

The financing of the project was also an exciting part of the project. The students showed a lot of initiative by taking over the catering for the final evening of the fourth classes. With the deserved means and generous donations of regional sponsors, they were able to start the renovation work in the last school week before the summer vacation. The class was cleared and cleaned before the students were divided into four groups: the group of painters took care of covering, painting the walls and radiators.

In addition, the students worked on wood projects, in which they assembled furniture together with adult helpers. They pulled off -house plants and converted old doses into flower pots - an environmentally friendly measure that not only looked good, but also challenged the creativity of the children. A kitchen squad prepared snacks and drinks, while further work followed during the summer holidays: pin boards were covered with felt, pictures were framed and new curtains were hung up.

Commitment and cooperation

class teacher Elke Gabriel emphasizes how much fun the children had in this project. "I would like to expressly thank my colleagues and parents who led the project to success with their active support," said Gabriel. "A big thank you also goes to our sponsors without whom this project would not have been possible."

Overall, this project illustrates how much joy and creativity can be in a classroom when students get the chance to implement their own ideas and work together on something great. In order to learn more about the background of this inspiring project, Read an article on www.tips.at
