Help for families in Rohrbach-Berg: Use support for crises
Rohrbach-Berg. In the region, there is often a desire for harmonious coexistence in the families, but reality often looks different. This is where child and youth welfare comes into play, which concerns crises and conflicts and offers solutions. One central aspect is that the well-being of the child is always in focus, explains Guido Bonifer, the new head of child and youth welfare at the Rohrbach district administration. He confirmed this on the occasion of the day of children's rights on November 20th.
Bonifer, who took over the management of his predecessor Gerhard Wallner, emphasizes that family life in Austria has become increasingly complicated and that the challenges for parents have grown. Under his leadership, 17 social workers are available to offer families the best possible support. "The team specializes in supporting parents in educational issues and in the school and professional development of their children," continued Bonifer.
A variety of support for families
When it comes to critical situations, for example when children are at risk, child and youth welfare cooperates closely with schools, kindergartens and other social institutions. As soon as a message receives a possible risk to the child's well -being, the situation is evaluated and families affected are offered support. "In cases of violence, abuse or neglect, we have our entire network ready. If necessary, it can even occur until the family separates," explains Bonifer. He appeals to the parents to recognize problems early on and to seek help before it is too late.
It attaches particular importance to the fact that violence is absolutely not tolerated in families. "There is no justification to abuse a child. Such behavior can damage the basic trust of a child forever," he emphasizes.
Commitment to child protection
child and youth welfare also plays an active role in courts when it comes to representing minors. In addition, the facility ensures the clarification of maintenance issues and offers a variety of social services, including consultations for parents, school social work and the mediation of adoptions. District captain Valentin Pühringer emphasizes that the goal is always to provide support where it is most urgently needed.
In the region, prominent ambassadors are also used who are committed to child protection, most recently, among other things, through the #hautnichtin campaign, the youngster sensitizes their own rights and to work for justice. Christine Winkler-Kirchberger, the children's and youth lawyer from Hofkirchen, emphasizes the importance of this information in order to also respect the rights of others.
The current developments around child and youth welfare in Rohrbach-Berg show how relevant the topic of child protection is in today's society. With a dedicated team of experts and a clear focus on the well -being of the children, the institutions there strive to create a safe environment for the youngest members of society.
