SPV Allstars win in the derby against Neuhofen and celebrate the first success of the season

On October 2, 2023, Kematen experienced a rousing football game as part of the newly founded Upper Austria Legendenliga. In an exciting derby, the SPV Allstars from Kematen met the senior team of Neuhofen/Krems on the sports field in Rohr. In front of enthusiastic spectators, the Kematns achieved a convincing 3-1 win, through which they secured the first important points of the season.

The spectators were witnesses to a classic duel that was characterized by passionate commitment and exciting duels. Player coach Manuel Limberger was visibly pleased after the game and emphasized the strong team performance: "We worked great as a team today. The first three of the season feels really good, and we have shown that we can assert ourselves in this league." Thanks to the victory, the SPV Allstars temporarily moved to second place in the table, behind FC Hogo Hertha Wels.

In the course of the game, the dominance of the Kematner prevailed early, so that they finally took the lead 1-0. Despite a combative appearance of Neuhofen, they could not last long. Through a penalty, the seniors managed to equalize in the first half. In the second half, however, the SPV Allstars gave the opponent no chance and scored two more goals to win the deserved victory.

The Upper Austria Legendenliga has established itself as an exciting platform for former football players since its foundation this year. This league enables former athletes to remain active even after their active career and to support club life. The aim of the league is not only the sporting competition, but also the promotion of community and voluntary commitment, which strengthens social ties in the clubs.
