New McDonald S in Linz: First location with Human Comfort design opened
In Linz, a new McDonald’s restaurant will open its doors and cause a stir. The fast food chain has announced that it will open a branch in the innovative "Human Comfort" design in the Kleinmünchen district. This will be the 34th McDonald’s branch in Upper Austria, and on top of that the first of its kind in Austria. Special features of the new restaurant should be an inviting ambience as well as an improvement in the processes and the guest management, which is to create a consistently positive experience for visitors.
The construction of the restaurant, which will open on December 10, 2024, was not without resistance. Residents had expressed concerns about the clearing of trees and shrubs on the planned property and initiated a petition. Despite these protests, the construction project was enforced. Jessica Schreckenfuchs-Vallant, spokeswoman for McDonald’s, announced the opening and explained that the new restaurant will create numerous jobs, including training positions for apprentices.
What makes the "Human Comfort" design so special?
The "Human Comfort" design not only strives for a modern and functional look, but should also offer guests a feeling of security, comparable to the stay in their own living room. According to the horror fox vallant, the design value is placed on a warm and inviting atmosphere. An important element is the furniture: the arrangement of seats and tables should give guests the opportunity to eat undisturbed and enjoy their meals in peace.
In addition to the optical changes, the modernized processes aim to promote the service as a whole. The new branch follows the successful concept of improved kitchen sequences, as have already been tested in some locations in Germany. Instead of the previous two production lines, there will now be four, which means that the guests can expect significantly shorter waiting times when there is a high number of visitors.
The decision to integrate the "Human Comfort" design in Linz positions the city as a pioneer of a new, more customer-friendly fast food experience in Austria. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen in which other branches this innovative concept could still be implemented. Jessica Schreckenfuchs-Vallant commented that no further information can be given on future locations. However, the company emphasizes the goal of warmly welcoming all guests in their restaurants.
