Recycling boxes for students: Arbor promotes environmental education in Kirchdorf
Recycling boxes for students: Arbor promotes environmental education in Kirchdorf
KIRCHDORF an der Krems. A remarkable step towards environmental protection recently took place in the BRG/Borg Kirchdorf. The company Arburg, based in Inzersdorf, donated 150 boxes made of recycled plastic. These boxes, which are made of old refrigerators, should help the students in their learning process and bring them closer to the importance of recycling.
The project can be seen as a kind of symbolic conclusion, since Peter Ahrens, who is facing up to his retirement, spent a few working hours for it. After almost 50 years in plastic and tool construction, this is a last remarkable initiative that Ahrens implemented in his professional life. Class 1a found the new boxes particularly exciting because they were able to set up a regulatory system for technology and design lessons.
valuable support and cooperation
The importance of such cooperation is particularly clear in the present time in which negative messages come from the technology industry. Projects such as this show how valuable cohesion and cooperation are. In addition, not only school, but also the environment is more focused on. Seg-Umwelt-Service GmbH and Arborg, SEG-Umwelt-Service GmbH and the company, were also involved in the material to be available.
This initiative fulfills several important functions: it combines education with environmental awareness and gives the students practical lessons about recycling and sustainability. The BRG/Borg Kirchdorf thus creates a learning environment that not only aims at knowledge, but also for responsibility towards the environment. Such projects could act as a model for other schools by showing how innovative approaches can be implemented in education and at the same time make a contribution to environmental protection.
With these boxes, which are made of recycled material, the students not only have a practical tool on the hand, but they also learn how important it is to reduce waste and use resources sustainably. These are important lessons at a time that is characterized by environmental challenges.
