New habitat for children: Hellerwiese kindergarten in Kirchdorf expanded

In Kirchdorf an der Krems, the extended Hellerwiese kindergarten was recently inaugurated, a renovation that was funded at around 1.65 million euros. This investment brings considerable improvements for the children and the supervising staff. Now the ten -year -olds and the educators have two new group rooms, a movement room and a dining room.

The long -awaited time marked the end of a comprehensive construction phase that began in January 2024. The head of the children's education and support facilities in Kirchdorf, Lydia Ballenstorfer, was enthusiastic about the new premises. "In addition to the family, the kindergarten is an important place for growth and self -realization. Today we open up rooms in which children can find security and develop," said their words during the opening ceremony.

Aktuell 122 children are currently being looked after in the Hellerwiese kindergarten, including 47 from different nations that require language support. Lydia Ballenstorfer emphasized that the new dining room was urgently needed and that the movement space was a great relief for the children. The rush is so large that ten children are on the waiting list for a possible seventh group. If appropriate staff can be found, this could start in March.
