Violence against women: Action in Kirchdorf demands prevention and protection

KIRCHDORF an der Krems. On the occasion of the annual 16 days against violence against women, the socialist youth in Kirchdorf launched an impressive campaign. This initiative aims to focus on the high extent of violence against women in public and at the same time demands concrete measures to protect those affected. From November 25th to December 10th, this topic is made aware of this topic, and the urgency of the situation in this country is also not to be overlooked.

Every third woman in Austria experiences sexual violence in the course of her life, a worrying state that the chairwoman of the socialist youth of Upper Austria, Eva Reiter, describes as intolerable. The demand for socialist youth not only includes financial support, but also fundamental changes in society. "We have to do a paradigm shift towards a modern understanding of gender roles. Women must be considered equal, and young men should learn to solve conflicts without violence," says Reiter.
