Celebrate with: 1,100 years of St. Wolfgang in Kirchberg!

On Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 3 p.m., a special event will take place in Kirchberg near Kremsmünster: the "Wolfgang meeting". This meeting celebrates several important occasions, including the 1st100th anniversary of St. Wolfgang, which was born in 924, as well as the 30th anniversary of the Wolfgangweg and the upcoming name day of the Wolgang.

A musical performance by Wolfgang Kreuzhuber, the long -time cathedral organist from Linz, awaits visitors. In addition, P. Wolfgang Pichler, the pastor of Thalheim near Wels, becomes life and the times of St. Wolfgang report. The guests are accompanied by Wolfgang Eglseer, also known as the "Weddamacher", who will make a pilgrimage with them on the Wolfgangweg to the Wolfgang column, a historical place where, according to Legend, St. Wolfgang prayed.

At the event, the participants can look forward to a sociable get -together in the rectory of St. Stephan on the village square of Kirchberg. There will be food and drinks there to end the day relaxed. The participation fee for the entire event, including meals, amounts to 20 euros, whereby the proceeds will go to the rectory St. Stephan.

The organizers of the Franz Hönig-Kulturverein cordially invite, and it is important to emphasize that people who are not called Wolfgang are also welcome to the event. The event takes place under all weather conditions.
