Lehner lift technology donates 3,000 euros for sick girls in the region!

NEUKIRCHEN AM WALDE, Österreich - The Lehner Lift Technology company from Neukirchen am Walde has decided to support the fundraising campaign of the Christkind district tour with an amount of 3,000 euros. According to a report from Meinzärb, this sum is donated half to the two ten -year -old girls Leonie Benzer from Grieskirchen and Catalea Walch from Riedau. Leonie was diagnosed with Down syndrome at the age of 1.5, and the terrifying diagnosis of leukemia was added in March. Catalea fights a rare, fatal metabolic disease that attacks her cells. Marketing manager Marlene Ecker said that the company wants to do good with this campaign in the region.

The donations are valuable support for the two families in difficult times. "We would like to thank you on behalf of the Benzer and Walch families for the generous donation," said Constance Haslberger and Agnes Nöhammer from Meinburg. The requests for support for the fundraising campaign can be done via the Upper Austria. Raiffeisen banks or online banking can be processed. This shows how important local initiatives are to help with challenges and show solidarity.

growing layering of income in Austria

In a current analysis by BPB, the falling social permeability in Austria is discussed, where almost 1.3 million people are now affected by relative income poverty. Relative income poverty risk arises when someone lives in a household whose income is less than 60 percent of the median income. The increase in inequality and the stratification of income shows that more and more people live at the lower end of the distribution of income. In 2021, about 16 percent of the population lived in relative income poverty, while the poverty risk quota decreased to 15 percent in 2022. Despite this development, the poverty problem in Austria remains a serious challenge that requires further attention.

The data illustrates the urgency of initiatives such as the fundraising campaign of the Christkind district. These not only help individual families, but also contribute to the sensitization of the public for the ongoing social challenges.
