Philipp Wiatscha emerges from the Neos: Disappointment about change in the program
Philipp Wiatschka, the city council of Neos in Gmunden, recently laid down his party membership and all the associated functions. This step came as a well-considered reaction to strategic decisions that were made at both state and federal level that were deeply disappointed.
"The current election program no longer reflects the values it had four years ago," Wiatschka told the OÖN. He remembered that the election program was very positive at the time and felt good. Now, however, he added, unfortunately there was little of these values left, especially if he looked at the program for the upcoming National Council elections.
Wiatschka remains active as an independent
Despite his exit from the party, Wiatschka will continue to remain committed as an independent member of the local council. He emphasized that his work in Gmunden was far from completed and that important tasks continue to wait.
The Neos experienced a significant success in the 2021 municipal council election in 2021: They achieved 10.39 percent of the votes after they failed in the previous election in 2015. This positive turn was significantly promoted by Wiatschka's commitment.
