Austria's energy transition: Experts advocate open space PV

Hubert Fechner, the chairman of the technology platform Photovoltaics, made it clear in a recent study that without this approach the ambitious goals can hardly be implemented.
In his analysis, the experts emphasize that the current potential for the use of solar energy on roofs and existing infrastructures is not sufficient. In Austria, an increase of up to 21 terawatt hours of photovoltaic energy will be sought until 2030. This number illustrates how important it is to use alternative areas for the expansion of solar energy.
