Unterweißenbach celebrates weddings: 65 years of love and numerous anniversaries
A very special festival was recently celebrated in Unterweißenbach: twelve couples from the community had reason to be happy because they celebrated significant wedding days. It was not only about the long years of marriage, but also about the constant connection and the valuable memories that they share with each other. These celebrations took place in the Unterweißenbach parish in October and were a real highlight of the year.
The event was organized by the parish and offered the couples the opportunity to celebrate together with their families. The festival service, which was musically designed by the church choir, was the heart of the day. A special tradition was maintained by the gold hood group, which each jubilee gave with an artistically decorated candle. The parish council also thought it was important to hand over small attentions as a sign of appreciation.
weddings, the history of writing
The oldest couple of the day, Margaretha and Josef Lehner, can look back on a proud 65 years of marriage, which was celebrated as an iron wedding. 65 years ago they gave themselves the yes word and thus embody examples of consistency and cohesion. Your love is a shining example of the following generations.
Four couples also celebrated their golden wedding, which means that they have been married for 50 years. In this special category, August and Elisabeth Tober, Maria and Johann Spindlberger, Josef and Hedwig Greindl as well as Margareta and Ernst Rockenchaub should not be missing. They too were able to celebrate their big anniversary with joy and pride.
In addition, Anna and Heinz Lehner, Anna and Hermann Huber, Silvia and Alois Hager as well as Anna and Hermann Stellnberger were allowed to celebrate their ruby wedding, which means 40 years of marriage. Another remarkable anniversary was committed by Claudia and Wolfgang Deinenreither as well as Monika and Gregor Puchner, who celebrated their silver wedding, i.e. 25 years of marriage.
The day found its successful conclusion with a social Agape on the church square, where everyone present came into talking to each other in a festive atmosphere and exchanged experiences and anecdotes of their years together. Such gatherings are not only a festival for the couples themselves, but also a sign of community and connection in the village.
It was an unforgettable day for the couples that not only celebrated love between them, but also the traditions and values that are held up in Unterweißenbach. The celebrations bundled in a single festival underline the importance of family and community in this region and show how important it is to celebrate special occasions together.
Whether iron, golden, ruby or silver wedding - the diversity of celebrated anniversaries is a nice proof of the longevity of the relationships and the support that the couples experience with each other and the community. It is to be hoped that many such celebrations will take place in Unterweißenbach in the coming years and will continue to inspire the next generation.
