Neumarkter Seniorenbund is happy about third place at Austria cycling

Neumarkt. The Neumarkt senior citizens' association fought for a remarkable third place at this year's “Austria cycling” competition. This is a great success for the members of the association, which is strongly committed to promoting cycling.

A total of over 43,500 cyclists took part in this year's campaign. They competed either alone or in a team for numerous institutions, including 1,260 companies, 720 municipalities, 370 clubs and 150 educational institutions. All participants collected more than 34 million cycling kilometers, an impressive number that underlines the popularity and enthusiasm for cycling in Austria.

The honorary winner was honored in a festive ceremony in the ballroom of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection in Vienna. Among the excellent was the Gmundner rowing club, which took second place in the category of clubs with 200 to 1,000 members. The Neumarkt senior citizens' association was able to secure an excellent third place in the same category. It is also interesting that two new participants from Upper Austria - the Neumarkt senior citizens' Association and Lapp Austria GmbH - have also entered the competition, which shows diversity and competition in the region.

"Austria cycling" already experienced the sixth edition this year, and the increasing number of participants is a positive trend. Cornelia Breuss, head of section in the Ministry of Climate Protection, said: "We are very happy that more and more Austrians: Inside the bike for their everyday mobility and are on the move".
