Federal victory for the Musikverein Grünbach: a triumph of harmony

Grünbach. The Musikverein Grünbach has achieved a remarkable success: the orchestra was chosen as the Federal winner of the Austrian wind orchestra competition in the level B.

The trip to this victory began in November when the Musikverein Grünbach achieved an impressive 95.4 points at the concert classification in the Freistadt district. This astonishing performance secured a gold medal in the level B and opened the door to the state outline. There, in Marchtrenk, they had to assert themselves against seven other music clubs from Upper Austria in March 2024, which finally enabled them to qualify for the federal competition. The idea of representing Upper Austria in the Brucknerhaus required a lot of rehearsal work and discipline from every member of the orchestra.

The big day and the result

On October 19, the time had finally come. In a high -class competition, a total of seven other chapels from all over Austria and a Bavarian guest chapel performed. Under the direction of Kapellmeister Josef Hoffelner, the group from Grünbach stepped onto the stage with great passion and joy. After intensive rehearsals, the redeeming news came: their hard work and dedication were rewarded with 94.5 points, which ensured that they secured the federal victory in competition level B.

The cheers among the musicians and supporters was indescribable. As a further highlight, the Musikverein Grünbach also received the special prize for the record of Anton Bruckner, which was rated separately. This shows not only the musical excellence of the association, but also the enormous passion for the music, which can be felt in every appearance. The preparations, the discipline and the fun of making music have paid off and contributed to the triumph of the Grünbach music association. Success will surely be remembered for a long time, and the members can be proud of what has been achieved.
