Fixed for the earth: a musical sign for our future!

Linz, Österreich - On October 4, 2025, a significant “festival for the earth” takes place at the cathedral square in Linz, organized by the Catholic campaign of Upper Austria. At this event, which falls on the commemoration day of St. Francis, art, music and commitment should be used to promote sustainable and responsible coexistence. Gabriele Hofer-Stelzhammer, the president of the Catholic campaign, emphasizes that the goal of the festival is a future worth living for everyone. In addition to a varied program, which includes a poetryslam, an exhibition and a concert with the A-Capella vocal ensemble Lalá, the songwriting contest "Your song for Earth" takes place. This invites young talents up to 24 years to submit their own compositions on topics related to environmental and climate protection. The closing date is June 15, 2025, and the best contributions will be presented at the concert, where the winners receive prices, such as kathpress.at reported.

In addition, the world song "Children of the World", interpreted by Shayla Jolie and Filo, is presented as part of the engagement for environmental protection. The accompanying music video impressively shows how children get involved and raise their voice to protect the earth. The video addresses that time is pressing and immediate measures are required to cope with the environmental crisis. Text lines like "It is 5 after 12, it finally has to pass something" illustrate this feeling of urgency. In a creative performance, the two artists awaken the message of hope and activism while singing together and making music on a piano. The video can be found on einweltsong.de and strengthens the call to stand up for a better future.
