Ms. Tomani presents: A radio play adventure for children in Eferding
Eferding. The talented Eferdinger singer and music teacher Veronika Moser, who is known as "Ms. Tomani", launched a new creative project: A radio play for children entitled "Kotto & Zotto and the four seasons". The premiere of the radio play takes place at the beginning of October and promises to become an exciting adventure for the youngest listeners.
Moser says that the idea for the radio play originally came about for her nieces and nephews. "Back then I took it with a dictation machine. The children loved it, but the quality was anything but good," she explains. The impetus to take history professionally came from the young listeners who wanted better audio quality.
The radio play and its characters
At the center of the radio play are the two friends Kotto and Zotto, who experience many adventures in nature. The story is told so that they give children fun and joy in preschool and elementary school age. Listen from a singing chestnut tree, a mysterious old lady named Ms. Frost and the ice cream seller Miloš, who is supposed to come from the land of ice berries. The encounter with Frida Frischfisch, which invites children to an underwater swimming course, also causes a lot of tension.
The total duration of the radio play is about 37 minutes. It is not only a narrative, but also an acoustic journey through the different seasons, which is supplemented by carefully produced noises.
Production and the artists
Moser worked with numerous Upper Austrian artists to realize production. "Every background noise was recorded by ourselves, we even pulled through the forests to capture the buzzing of bumblebees and the noise of the streams," she lists. Together with Reinhard Zach, she dealt with the surroundings creatively. Various instruments such as guitar, ukulele, piano, carillon and even cello and drums can be heard on the musical recordings.
In addition, Moser received support from actress and dramaturge Nora Dirisamer and the graphic artist Mario Stadler in order to make the total work of art visually appealing. The illustrations come from Johanna Wögerbauer and give the project a special charm.
Moser came up with something unique for the radio play publication: it creates postcards that represent the four seasons and contain a link to a song of the radio play. "The committing of people about postcards makes me happy," says Moser, thus showing her joy in the creative connection between art and nature.
"Kotto & Zotto and the four seasons" is published on their own publisher and is available via their online shop at www.frautomani.at and from selected partners such as the state music schools Eferding and Hartkirchen. The radio play set not only contains a CD, but also a download link and a song book with texts and chords.
"It was important to me to create a chic product. There are many for CD buyers who no longer use CDs, so our set is a real all-round package," continued Moser.
Another aspect of your project is sustainability. The prints received environmentally friendly processing-with organic plant colors on recycled paper. "We have deliberately avoided plastic and rely on pretty pergamine paper for packaging," emphasizes Moser.
The radio play is presented between Friday, 4th and Sunday, October 6th at the "We Fair - Mass for Sustainable Cooperation" in the Linz Design Center. Ms. Tomani will have an interactive status that invites visitors to learn more about her creative project. Further information and the possibility of ordering can be found on Ms. Tomani's website.
