Waldviertler Sparkasse: 30,000 euros donated to children in need

The Waldviertler Sparkasse has again considered a special campaign on the world parties this year. From October 28th to 31st, the customers could choose between a world parage gift or a donation of five euros for needy children in the Waldviertel. This decision led to one of the largest fundraising campaigns in the region, whereby many customers preferred the donation option.

Johannes Scheidl, CEO of Waldviertler Sparkasse Bank AG, was delighted with the result. "It makes us proud that we were able to top the great success of the past year. The motto "You save, we donate!" has found resonance not only in the bank, but also in the community.

growing success through non -profit decision

Overall, impressive 3,100 savers decided: inside for the donation, which led to a total of 15,500 euros - a third more than in the previous year. Peter Hochleitner, chairman of the bank, emphasized the role of employees: inside who actively supported the fundraiser. A special highlight was the decision to increase the donation to a total of 30,000 euros.

"Our task is to contribute to the better future of people in the region, especially for children," added Hochleitner. The funds are now evenly distributed to three non -profit organizations.

Use of the funds for local facilities

The division is carried out to the following institutions: The House of Confidence in Waidhofen/Thaya, which offers extensive advice and therapy offers for children and adolescents, receives part of the donation. The second part goes to the children's castle Rappottenstein, which supports families with chronically ill children. The third part flows into the kidsnest children's protection center Waldviertel, which offers children who were victims of violence, advice and support. Cornelia Seper, head of the children's castle, expressed grateful for the support: "We are overwhelmed by the great encouragement and the possibility of making our offers visible."

The Waldviertler Sparkasse also plans to donate the remaining gifts in the form of around 1,500 packs of organic band noodles to social markets and plates in the region. This generous action shows how local banks can not only make a valuable contribution financially, but also socially.
