Tragedy in Matzendorf-Hölles: Older couple dies after gunshot wounds

The small community of Matzendorf-Hölles in the Wiener Neustadt district has put a tragic incident. In the afternoon of November 20, an older couple with serious gunshot wounds were found in a house. According to Stefan Pfandler, the head of the State Criminal Police Office (LKA), the events occurred between 4 and 5 p.m. When the police arrived, the male partner was already found dead at the scene. His wife, who was seriously injured, was taken to the hospital, but could not be saved in the evening and succumbed to her injuries.

The circumstances indicate a possibly tragic desperation. Pfandler announced that there were indications that indicate that the man could have shot himself. However, this has not yet been confirmed and must be clarified as part of the ongoing investigation.
