Pfaffenschlag pilgrimage celebrates in St. Wolfgang

In the early morning at six o'clock, the pilgrims gathered in the parish church of Pfaffenschlag to receive the travel blessing of Vicar Friedrich Mikesch. This traditional pilgrimage led the committed participants on an impressive route of 40 kilometers to St. Wolfgang near Weitra. The atmosphere was shaped by anticipation and spiritual devotion.

The foot pilgrims made their way and took their first stop in Langschwarza after three hours of hike. There Deacon Herbert Böhm celebrated a moving prayer that offered the pilgrims a welcome break. The path continued to the nearby town of Waldenstein, where the pilgrims had a soothing meal at lunchtime. Vikar Mikesch, who was actively involved, also designed a prayer in the church here. The community of pilgrims was further strengthened by this exchange.
