Creativity in Waidhofen: Children design their dream vehicles
Creativity in Waidhofen: Children design their dream vehicles
In the municipality of Waidhofen an der Thaya, a creative painting competition took place as part of the European Mobility Week, which was aimed especially at children and adolescents between the ages of 2.5 and 14. The aim of the competition was to artistically present the “means of transportation of dreams”. This initiative not only stimulated the imagination of the youngest, but also ensured a great response.
The participation was outstanding: a total of 620 drawings, paintings and collages were submitted, which made the selection for the jury, consisting of the youth councils Anja Fuchs, Laura Ozlberger and Markus Loydolt, a real challenge. The jury had the difficult task of finding the most creative and imaginative contributions, which turned out to be no easy task.
The award ceremony
The highlight of the competition was the award ceremony, which took place on November 21 in the town hall of Waidhofen. The winners were able to look forward to gifts and documents from Mayor Josef Ramharter and the mobility officer of the municipality, municipal council Franz Pfabigan. Both were impressed by the creativity and talent of the little artists and celebrated the success with a glass (children) sparkling wine. It was a happy occasion that praised the positive efforts of the children and put their works of art into the spotlight.

The implementation of such a competition is not only a great way for children to express their ideas, but also promote awareness of the topic of mobility. Environmentally friendly means of transportation are more important than ever these days, and this event has motivated the youngest to think about how you want to travel in the future.
