Living agriculture: Austro Agrar enthusiastically enthusiastic about innovations and record visitors
Last week, Austria's leading agricultural technology fair, the Austro Agrar Tulln, experienced an impressive rush. Over 56,000 visitors flocked to the fair and enjoyed a wide range that caused positive impulses in the industry. Six years had passed since the last event that was suspended due to the pandeme. In the current issue, the focus was on the main areas of agriculture, while the area of fruit and viticulture is treated in the separate event "Austria Vin Tulln".
Wolfgang Strasser, Managing Director of Messe Tulln, was pleased with the high number of visitors and the positive mood among the exhibitors. According to his words, the fair not only demonstrated the brand presence of the agricultural technology industry, but also its innovative strength. The exhibitors agreed: the fair offered many new solutions that will help shape the future of agriculture.
highlights of the fair
The Austro Agrar Tulln presented a variety of smart solutions, which were shown by over 320 manufacturers on around 50,000 m² of exhibition space. Rudolf Dietrich, chairman of the Landtechnik Club, emphasized that the topics of digitization and smart technologies have now taken up a central square, in contrast to previous trade fairs, in which the focus was on motor strength and mechanical engineering. "Digitization has arrived because it offers an actual benefit for agriculture," he said.
In particular, artificial intelligence (AI) offers new opportunities, for example by modern sensor systems in crop protection or chopping technology, where AI can be differentiated between different types of plants. This technological advances are important for future agriculture, as the deputy governor Stephan Pernkopf highlighted in his opening address.
Another highlight of the Austro Agrar was the award ceremony for the best innovations in different categories by the Agrartec. These awards, which were handed over by an expert jury, outline the core competencies of the industry and offer a guide for future -oriented developments. Prize winners in the categories of arable construction, interior technology and digitization/smart farming showed the innovative approaches that are currently doing pioneering work in agriculture.
innovation spoils in agricultural technology
The Austro Agrar Tulln was not only a shop window for artificial intelligence and smart solutions, but also a place for new machines and equipment. The Amazon company presented a newly developed plow that is designed for tractors with up to 200 hp. Its innovative technical features such as an overload protection and an infinitely variable hydraulic working width adjustment promise to improve efficiency and ease of use in agriculture.
Another highlight was the mobile pellet machine Schaider Pelletec D 8.0, which is designed directly on the field for the processing of biomass and can process up to eight tons per hour. This machine offers an interesting solution for the efficient conversion of biomass into useful products.
The consistently positive reactions and the great interest in the innovative technologies presented at the fair indicate that the industry is on the right track to master new opportunities and challenges.
