On Monday evening, a remarkable event entitled "Ki-P-KIS OFF for events of the future" took place in the House of Digitization in Tulln. This event was organized by the Master course of Event Management at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences and carried out in cooperation with the Lower Austria Chamber of Commerce. The event attracted around 100 participants and offered them interactive insight into the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the event industry.

An inviting opening word came from Gert Zaunbauer, the chairman of the Freizeit- und Sportbetriebe specialist group of the Lower Austria Chamber of Commerce. He not only emphasized the importance of training young talents, but also explained how much the commitment and professionalism of the students impressed him. Zaunbauer emphasized the role of the AI in the event planning and was happy about the great interest from the industry.

inspiring speeches and discussions

The event was characterized by an exciting panel discussion, in which high -ranking guests such as Christoph Berndl, Michael Katzlberger, Thomas Kenyeri, Eva Mandl and Katharina Zehender discussed current trends and developments in the field of AI. A special absence was Claudia Plakolm, State Secretary for Digitization, which was prevented from political obligations. However, she had a video message sent, while Wolfgang Ebner, head of the section for digitization and e-government, took over the keynote.

The discussion not only illuminated the technological possibilities of the AI, but also their influence on the design and experience of events. Those present had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the topic and get to know the diverse possible uses of AI.

After the discussion, the participants were able to try out various AI tools themselves. Among other things, applications such as Canva Pro, Chatgpt for copying, Heygen for an avatar creation and Suno Ai were available for music generation. In addition, VR glasses and a AI photo box offered an exciting experience that enabled guests to experience innovative technologies up close. Chiara Auenhammer, the deputy of the project manager Eva Steiner, who could not be present due to illness, expressed: "For us as a student, the event was a unique opportunity to learn practical and to put together an event together that makes the possibilities of AI in the event industry tangible."

Another highlight of the event was a musical act in which the band presented a song completely generated by AI. This creative contribution was a positive contrast to a well-known hit from 1996. In addition, a small service robot provided entertainment and supported the team in looking after the guests.

Helmut Kammerzelt, the course manager, was extremely satisfied with the implementation of the event: "I can only congratulate my students from the fullest - planning and implementation were just perfect." The entire event was a significant step towards a future in which artificial intelligence plays an increasingly decisive role in the design and implementation of events.
