Future of health care in Lower Austria: Focus on closings and reforms

In the 20th meeting of the Lower Austrian state parliament, which took place on Thursday, a current hour was called up, which dealt with the upcoming changes in health care and the recently published expert paper. This document provides for the closure of five clinic locations, which gave both the government and the opposition into a heated discussion.

The health care of the Lower Austrians is at a critical point, and the various political political groups expressed very different views. While the opposition, led by the SPÖ, vehemently argued against the closure plans, the ÖVP described the expert paper as "drawer paper". The focus of the debate was on the need for a home -related, free health care.

SPÖ demands sustainable solutions

Karin Scheele, the health spokeswoman for the SPÖ, expressed in the current hour: "In our state we finally have to go to a free, close -place health care". She clearly spoke out in favor of receiving the number of clinics to date and criticized the lack of transparency on the part of the state health agency. Your concerns rely on the thesis that reliable medical care is necessary for all Lower Austrians regardless of their place of residence.

also a strong sign, the SPÖ MP Rene Pfister, who emphasized that every claim to good medical care is entitled to. This was a central topic of the debate, which was characterized by the healthy concern for basic medical care.

The green MP Silvia Moser, who emphasized the importance of centralized medical facilities: "Medicine has developed rapidly, and specializations are essential to offer an appropriate quality of treatment". She called for the creation of outpatient and competence centers in order to be able to treat patients appropriately.

Government representatives advocate cooperation

In contrast to the concerns of the opposition, the ÖVP health spokesman, Franz Dinhobl, emphasized the need for synergies in the health system. He explained that these considerations should be promoted as part of the health pact and that cross -party engagement was essential to realize the urgently needed reforms.

"There must be constructive cooperation so that the health sector backs up the trust of the population," emphasized Dinhobl and criticized Sven Hergovich, the SPÖ boss. These statements make it clear that the ÖVP is sought for reconciliation and joint efforts to improve health care.

At the same time, the NEOS called for a comprehensive revision of the hospital system to improve the quality of care. According to the NEOS state party chairman Indra Collini, this is urgently necessary, since the current situation with long waiting times and inefficient resource distribution is not portable. Kollermann pointed out that the quality of care does not depend on the number of hospitals, but on the frequency and routine of the interventions.

Special concern expressed President of the state parliament of Karl Wilfing on the publication of the expert paper, which was perceived as a fracture of trust: "I would like to critically notice that the discussion of one of many expertise has been unnecessary," he said in an interview and demanded more transparency and trust in the political dialogues.
