Before the Nation's League duels: FLF players recharge their batteries

A few days before the decisive Nation League games against Bulgaria and Belarus, several national players of the FLF can look back on positive game practice. In this context, Gerson stands out Rodrigues, who was finally able to stand on the pitch after a long dry spell.

The Luxembourg striker, who has been playing for the Chinese second division club Guangxi Pingguo Haliao since July, was closed for four weeks after a dismissal in the 21st matchday. Last weekend, however, he was used against Guangzhou and was substituted after only 26 minutes. The game ended 1: 1, which means that Rodrigues can now collect game practice before traveling to the decisive games with the national team.

game practice among the national players

It looks similar with other players. Goalkeeper Anthony Moris completed his 16th game of the season with the Union Saint-Gilloise after a European Cup week and scored a 1-1 draw in Bruges. Tiago Pereira, the captain of the U19 of Borussia Mönchengladbach, led his team in the DFB Cup to the 1-0 victory against Hoffenheim and also collects valuable minutes of play.

The defender Dirk Carlson contributed decisively to the 4-2 victory of his club St. Pölten in the second Austrian league, while central defender Maxime Chanot for Los Angeles FC was on the field for another hour in the 3-0 win against Kansas City.

The captain Laurent Jans shows an impressive balance sheet because he started every game for his team Waasland-Beveren this season. Despite this, the team is currently fighting in the second Belgian league and recently had to accept a defeat against locals. On the other hand, Mica Pinto, who has received a lot of playing time since he signed at ZSKA Sofia, was again in the starting eleven in the first Bulgarian league, but could not avert a defeat.

However, the situation is not so positive for all national players. Enes Mahmutovic got little time due to a red card at NAC Breda and also stayed on the bench in the recent game. Marvin Martins and Beor Korac also had a difficult time, but were able to fight back into the starting eleven.

In midfield, the condition of Leandro Barreiro is particularly worth mentioning, which does not receive the desired season at Benfica. Christopher Martins also seems to be in a better constitution after scoring a goal last week and playing over 90 minutes for Spartak Moscow in the subsequent game. Sébastien Thill is also in good shape and can look back on a strong season, despite the challenges of his club in the table of the Polish league.

The different forms of shape of the national players will be decisively shaped by the upcoming Nation League games. The important question remains whether you can take your positive phase into the next games to support the team and to be successful. It is now important that all players travel to the training camp with fresh self -confidence and fitness. Anyone who will show the best performance in the next few days could secure a place in the first eleven in the long term.
