St. Pölten solarized: New photovoltaic systems strengthen the community

The city of St. Pölten is increasingly relating to the expansion of renewable energies, in particular photovoltaic systems, in order to make their infrastructure more climate-friendly. Significant progress has already been made at several locations this year. For example, the St. Pölten campus now shines with new solar systems that are able to cover a significant part of the energy requirement.

Another exciting development is the installation of a photovoltaic system on the roof of the Franz Jonas elementary school. The nominal output of 57.2 kWp on an area of around 240 m² is expected to be able to assume around 80 percent of the school's electrical needs. The company SUNTASTIC.SOLAR SOLUTIONS GmbH was responsible for this project and has recently installed a new facility in the Pestalozzistraße 28 kindergarten, which is intended to secure the entire energy requirement of the building.

efficiency in the energy community

All excess solar flow genes are fed into the urban energy community. This procedure not only strengthens local energy supply, but also promotes the use of renewable energies in the entire region.

The information about upcoming projects suggests a sustainable strategy. Photovoltaic systems are planned on the fire station in St. Georgen and Wagram as well as other installations on future new kindergarten buildings in Karl Pfeffer-Gasse, Mooshöfer Gasse, Wiesner Gasse and Alte Hofmühlgasse. These projects are to be started in the near future, since the evaluation of additional locations is continuously continued.

These measures to promote solar energy show the clear trend of the city of St. Pölten to a more environmentally friendly future, which not only brings ecological advantages, but also supports future generations in their educational institutions. The increasing use of solar energy underlines the importance of rethinking in our use of resources. Further exciting developments are being planned and the city community can look forward to even more progress in the use of renewable energies.
