New shine for Leiner camp in St. Pölten: Investors are planning redesign!

The former central warehouse of the traditional Leiner company in St. Pölten has found a new owner. A group of investors from the region has acquired the site on Zdarskystrasse, as oe24.at. These plans include a conversion of the site, which, in addition to the former warehouse, also includes the historical founding house of the Leiner family.

The group of investors intends to rent the new areas from 1,000 to 30,000 square meters to companies from the logistics sector. The first expressions of interest from both the region and from Vienna are already available, which indicates a promising future for the location. Details on the sales price and the conditions of the purchase have not yet been published.

planned modernizations

Another important aspect of the takeover is the planned modernization of the area. These measures provide for the installation of LED lighting to reduce energy consumption and the attachment of a photovoltaic system on the roof. Such steps are not only economically sensible, but also correspond to the trend towards sustainability in the real estate industry.

According to the ORF NÖ, the first ideas for the redesign of the area should already exist. This could not only contribute to upgrading the property, but also bring new shops and jobs to the region. In contrast, the former Kika headquarters in Porschestrasse remains without a clear perspective, and the planned living and office complex "Rossmarkthöfe" is currently on ice.

The city of St. Pölten also sees itself challenged with regard to the financial situation. No means were found to take over the unused area, and responsibility remains with the previous owner. Since the bankruptcy of Süba AG, there has hardly been any progress in terms of the smooth development of the site.
