Enjoyable soup for a good cause: women move the community!
In the diocese of St. Pölten, the season of the Catholic Women's Movement (KfB) was opened on March 12, and the enthusiasm was great! As the Noen , the working group of the parish caritas took over the fasting soup meal in Oberwölbling, where church visitors were spoiled with delicious soups. After the Holy Mass on the part of Pastor Josef Seherner, many believers accepted the invitation to the rectory. One visitor praised: "It is really commendable that women stand up for many hours to cook and serve good soups." The proceeds of the event flows directly to Caritas, which can support numerous aid projects with this money.
In the Lower Austria country house in St. Pölten, the benefit soup dinner was also visited by prominent guests, including Bishop Alois Schwarz and Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner. Anna Raab from the KFB, who has headed the initiative for years, praised the volunteer women who are committed. Bishop Schwarz pointed out the global challenges and appealed for peace and justice: "While we eat soup here, many people have to worry about their lives in Syria." The governor emphasized the responsibility of everyone for a better world and the commitment to women and climate protection. Together, a total of around 70 aid projects are to be supported, which in particular improve the life realities of women. The latest benefit soup meals also play a crucial role in the 2025 Family Fixed Day, which has solidarity with women in Colombia.
important social initiatives
The Catholic women's movement not only wants to create delicious dishes with the soup meal, but also to raise awareness of social issues. As Meinekirchenzeitung.at , part of the proceeds will also be related to sustainable projects in connection with climate law used. An appeal for helping to preserve the earth is certain. Benefit meal not only offers a platform for culinary delights, but also an opportunity for solidarity and promoting important concerns. The focus is on women's rights and environmental issues, so that the participants are also encouraged to become active in order to improve the life of women in social emergencies.
