Fabio Ingolitsch becomes a coach at Altach - a family challenge
In the past few days there have been significant changes in Austrian football. The SCR Altach now has a new trainer after Joachim has cleared its place. In his place, Fabio Ingolitsch, who previously worked as a U 21 coach at FC Zurich. Ingolitsch, 32 years old and from Salzburg, is a rather unconventional choice because he is in a special relationship with a team of the team: his younger brother Sandro Ingolitsch is part of the team and will play under his brother. Sandro, who is only 27 years old, already has a contract until 2026 and comes with a solid game record of eight missions in nine games.
The decision to sign Fabio Ingolitsch was made by sports director Roland Kirchler and managing director Christoph Längle. Kirchler is convinced that Ingolitsch can bring fresh wind into the team, because of his professional experience and solid training, which he received during his career. Before he moved to FC Zurich, Ingolitsch was an assistant at FC Liefering and then took over the coaching office when his previous coach moved to the German Bundesliga in Mainz. After some unexpected changes, however, he was forced to clear his position. After a season break, Ingolitsch returned to the coaching business in summer.
The connection between trainer and player
The fact that the new trainer is also the brother of player Sandro Ingolitsch is an interesting dynamic. Similarities and family ties are not unusual in sport, but in this special constellation the situation is particularly noteworthy. Sandro previously played at Liefering, where his brother was already a coach. This could be considered twice as complicated, since there is obviously a close relationship between the two that could affect both coaching and the game.
st. Pölten, who fights with only two wins from nine games and a disappointing eleventh place this season will search for a turn with Tanrimis. The commitment of Tanrimis is considered risky by some, especially since Sülo, who is responsible for the sporting decisions, has no extensive football experience in Austria.
