In the night of Saturday, there were serious traffic accidents in several regions that injured a total of seven people. Both seriously injured were brought to hospital flights by rescue helicopter, while a third person drew slightly injuries and was transported to the hospital with an ambulance.
About an hour later there was another serious traffic accident in Gumprechtsfelden (Scheibbs district), where two cars were involved. Four people were also injured here. The driver of one of the vehicles was trapped and had to be released by the fire brigade. The injured quickly received medical care and were brought to nearby hospitals.
Overall, these incidents show the dangers that lurk in road traffic and make it clear how important fast action of the emergency services is. While medical help has been provided for victims, the circumstances and causes of the accidents must be examined in more detail in order to avoid future incidents.
