In Lohmar, an upcoming roadway renovation ensures significant traffic disorders. From next Monday (October 28th), federal road 56, also known as Zeithstraße, will be completely closed to comprehensive renovation in two phases for six to eight weeks. The section from Pohlhausen to the intersection in Krahwinkel is affected, followed by the blocking to the beginning of expansion at Neunkirchen-Seelscheid-Heister. There will probably be considerable traffic disruptions, as alternative routes lead to the B 507 via Wahnbachtalstraße (L 189). Here, traffic jams can be expected not only in the morning, but also during the entire closure period.
The construction work is coordinated by the State of Street North Rhine -Westphalia and an official diversion is already set up. Logistically challenging, the situation also becomes busy, since adjustments to the lines are necessary and bypasses must also be planned for cyclists.

The fire brigade had to block parts of Raiffeisenstrasse and Walterscheid-Müller-Straße for the use. Despite the fast mobilization, the fire could not be brought under control in time, which led to a big loss: two of the large CNC milling machines that were in operation for 24 hours burned out completely, while a third device was also not unscathed. The damage caused by fire and soot are enormous and are expected to have far -reaching effects on the company's production capacity.
