Neunkirchen: Design students new break room for well -being!
In the Health and Nursing School Neunkirchen, trainees have redesigned the break room as part of a project under the motto "From trainees for trainees". The project, which was coordinated in the class for "health promotion and prevention", is carried out under the direction of Barbara Stahlberg, MSC. The idea behind it is to create a space that not only serves to relax, but also increases the sense of community and motivation of the students. Stahlberg's statement makes it clear that the design of the break room is a measure of the implementation of health promotion in training, in which special features such as soothing colors and ergonomic furniture are used. The focus is on participation and creativity, so that all trainees can actively bring in their ideas.
growing risk of poverty among students
In addition, the topic of poverty risk among students and trainees is becoming increasingly pressing. A current survey, such as the Federal Statistical Office , shows alarming trends: over 1.3 million people in Austria are affected by poverty, including numerous students and Vocational students. This Situation underlines the urgency of projects such as that in Neunkirchen that is supposed to support the mental and physical needs of young people.
The newly designed break rooms could not only serve as a retreat, but also reflect the awareness of the challenges with which this group is faced. The initiative of the health and nursing school to create a space to promote well-being and social interaction could set a sign of more support in times when many students feel overwhelmed. The combination of these two topics shows how important it is to focus on both the physical and the psychological well -being of trainees.
