Lauf becomes the innovation hotspot: Technology transfer center from 2025!

in Lauf, a city in the Nuremberg region, a new technology transfer center (TTZ) will open from 2025. This center will act with a clear focus on future technologies and innovations. Interested representatives from politics and business have currently been informed about the planned activities in the future center. Among the speakers was also Professor Christian Pfitzner, the future head of the TTZ, who shared his views in the Laufer industrial museum.

The technical university Georg-Simon-Ohm from Nuremberg will be significantly involved in research in the TTZ. With the subtitle "Smart People - Smart Production", the center will bring together scientists and companies to advance the latest technologies. This project is funded by financial support from the Free State of five to seven million euros for the first five years. After this initial phase, it is planned that the center is financed by its own means.

Nine professors were also presented at the information event who will work at different research areas in the TTZ. These priorities range from automation to ensuring specialists. The already established fields of work are therefore crucial for the development and implementation of innovative solutions.

A special highlight of the TTZ will be the newly designed area of six hundred square meters, which will offer space for a technical center. Industrial devices and machines can be tested here under realistic operating conditions. The location of the TTZ in a building of Emuge Franken at Martin-Luther-Straße 18 is considered optimal. There will also be a second location at Karlstrasse 2 in Röthenbach to increase the range and capacity of the center.

Mayor Thomas Lang commented on the developments and was proud of the opportunity to establish such a center in running. He emphasized the outstanding cooperation between the representatives of business promotions, which have made a significant contribution to the success of the project. The event illustrated the positive efforts that are made in the region to promote economic development and technological innovation.

The foundation of the technology transfer center will not only improve the economic perspectives of the region, but also create an important environment for scientific cooperation and technological developments.
