The big championship showdown: tension on Saturday in Natschbach!
Saturday is approaching and with it the grand finale of the Stockcar championship in Natschbach-Loipersbach. On this decisive day, the necessary decisions are made in the different classes and in the championships. It is the last race day of the season, and all eyes are focused on the five categories: Formula 2, Saloon Cars, rear class over 2 liters, rear class below 2 liters and the youth class. A spectacle that the fans shouldn't miss!
The day becomes particularly exciting for the drivers of Formula 2 and the rear class, in which the title fights still fight for the points. According to the point system, the pilots can score a maximum of 135 points on one race day. Every win in the preliminaries brings in 15 points, while the winner of the final can look forward to 40 points. There is also a bonus of 50 points for first place in the grand finale. Such possibilities naturally lead to persistent thrills!
preliminary decisions for the sizes
In Formula 2, Bernd Hockeyhofer has a considerable lead of 108 points on his challenger Andreas Gruber from Würflach, which gives him a comfortable position before the last race day. Stefan Holzer, the defending champion in the rear class over 2 liters, stands even better. With 123 points ahead of Ludwig Klein from Oberwart, he could make a difficult day for his opponents. Also with the vehicles with engines under 2 liters, the ex-champion Roland Hofmann looks promising with a lead of 113 points on Marco Baumann from Eisenstadt.
A completely different picture, on the other hand, shows up at the Saloon Cars, where the first seven drivers are only separated from each other by 100 points. Pure excitement is between the top three: Andreas Haider, the current defending champion, Mario Schabauer and Peter Strass. They only separate 30 points, which could make the course of the race a real thriller on Saturday. Motto: Every race counts!
The fight for the youth crown
and last but not least, the young class will also cause a lot of excitement. Here Jayden Holzer, from Oberwart, and Marcel Zöchling from Schwarau struggle for the successor of the previous year's champion Emanuel Haider, who has switched to the Saloon Cars this year. Holzer leads with 29 points in front of Zöchling and will do everything possible to save this lead. This exciting competition is even more interesting due to the strong performance of Lara Krassnigg from Voitsberg, which is currently in third place
The race day begins at 1:30 p.m., but previously exciting training runs are on the program. Fans and drivers can look forward to a gripping final that will remember the spectators for a long time.
