HTL Mödling: Experience technology up close at the open day

Last Saturday, HTL Mödling opened its doors for interested students and their families and offered an exciting insight into the various training directions. Around 400 teachers, including numerous experts from business and technology, were available to guests for questions and explanations to bring the students closer to practical training.

The open day started in the school's ballroom, where students led the visitors through the respective departments. In the individual departments, guests were able to experience a variety of techniques and technologies, from creative interior design to high -precision vehicle technology. The augmented reality glasses, which were shown in the Green Building and Environmental Engineering department, were particularly fascinating. Such modern technologies aim to promote environmental protection and sustainability.

An absolute highlight for visitors was the vehicle technology department, where a scavenger hunt took place, in which knowledge about various car brands was queried. Many participants were enthusiastic about the modern devices that were used in the workshops. The model buildings from the construction and wood technology department also attracted attention.

Director Hannes Sauerzopf expressed pleasure about the lively participation and the feedback from the visitors. "Many interested parties already came to us with concrete ideas about the choice of career and were enthusiastic about the modern presentations and practical exhibition objects," he said. Topics such as environmental protection, sustainability and digitization play a central role in training at HTL Mödling.

A visitor, Tino Fritz from Baden, was particularly impressed by the robotics department, but also said that the smithy left a lasting impression. Leonardo Knapp from Vienna took the opportunity to gain his own experience in the electronics department by trying out soldering. Michael Bauer from Wiener Neustadt attended the school for the first time and found the presentation in the paint shop and the smithy particularly interesting.

"Technology, well -founded general education and close networking with industry make up the successful mix at our school," explained educational advisor Christoph Puffler. This illustrates the practical relevance and the close relationship with industry, which are crucial for future -oriented training.

The next opportunity to experience the HTL up close will take place on January 24th between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Here other interested students can get an idea of the diverse training opportunities and find out more about the various disciplines. For those interested, this is a valuable opportunity to take a first step into their professional future.
