In the Mistelbach district, there was a sensational incident when a 45-year-old was arrested by the police on September 10th. The arrest took place after almost a kilogram of cannabis was discovered during a check on a freight path near Wulzeshofen. This border control took place immediately after crossing the green border between Austria and the Czech Republic.
The officials from the Laa police inspection on Thaya became aware of a strong cannabis smell during the control. The suspect's backpack was then searched. After ensuring drugs and cash, the case is pursued by the Mistelbach addiction group. The public prosecutor's office in Korneuburg has already arranged the suspect's immediate delivery to the judiciary. So far, 28 suspected buyers and other suspects have been identified.
