Strong women, strong support: support from Lower Austria women's advice

In the heart of Lower Austria, the women's advice centers are committed to the concerns of women and girls. Recently, Silke Dammerer, state chairman of "We Lower Austrians", and Dorothea Renner, state manager, in the St. Pölten women's center and in the Lilith Frauenberatung Melk. In intensive discussions with the leaders of these facilities, current challenges and important topics were discussed. Dammerer underlined the relevance of these advice centers by pointing out that confidentiality and free advice are essential to enable women to make independent decisions. She said: "Women often wait too long because they are used to creating everything alone. The back strengthening through women's advice is very valuable and shows new perspectives."

The 24 women's advice centers in Lower Austria are central points of contact for all life situations. From relationship problems to financial worries to reorientation after a separation, the areas offer valuable support. The advice for women who are affected by violence is particularly important. These centers offer comprehensive legal, psychosocial and practical help to support women in crisis situations. The historically high women's budget enables comprehensive advice and strengthens the existing facilities, which was emphasized by Dammerer.
