The Massive Use of Workers and Technology The traffic route B33 in the Wachau was quickly cleared after a rock fall on Wednesday evening. This was reported by the director of the road construction in Lower Austria, Josef Decker. Despite the free -cleared road, however, rope barriers still have to be installed to ensure the safety of traffic. Decker further stated that technical security measures in the upper slope area must be taken and the guiding rail should be moved. An inspection with the Melk and specialists district administration is already coming up next week to plan further steps. The work for the lower rope lock should begin on March 3 at the latest, according to the current plans.
