This award was presented as part of a solemn ceremony, which was accompanied by the responsible representatives of the Jauerling-Wachau nature park as well as the community and the kindergarten team. With this title, the special connection of the kindergarten to nature and the values ​​of nature conservation is recognized.

The Kindergarten Raxendorf is the first of its kind in the Jauerling-Wachau nature park, which receives this honorable name. This is not only an honor, but also an important step in the region's educational work. By setting new standards, they signal together with the eight nature park schools in the area that topics such as biological diversity, sustainability and nature conservation will take an important place in the everyday life of the little ones.

"The goal is to bring kindergarten children closer to nature and give them the opportunity to gain nature experiences right on their own doorstep. This is not only enriching, but also important for nature conservation," said State Councilor Susanne Rosenkranz. She expressed the desire that the children experience many unforgettable moments in nature and thanked the educators and the nature park for this valuable Initiative.

Mathilde Stallegger, the managing director of the nature park, shares this enthusiasm: "We are very happy about the new cooperation with kindergarten. You are our first nature park kindergarten, and we firmly believe that this step will give positive impulses to both the children and the region." The ceremonial handover of the certificate took place in the Lower Austrian State Kindergarten Raxendorf-Heiligenblut. Claudia Kubelka, Vice President of the Association of the Austria Nature Park, and MP Anton Kasser, who came to represent Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, were present. Here, too, it was emphasized how important this initiative is for the encounter of children with nature.

The kindergarten manager Roswitha Frühwirth is convinced that the award for the nature park kindergarten will benefit all involved-the children, the region and nature. The Raxendorf kindergarten is thus future -oriented and sustainable. As a small welcome gift, the educators and children even received a selection of regional nature park specialties.
