Leader region Mostviertel-Mitte: Cultural treasures and youth ideas in focus

The Leader region Mostviertel-Mitte recently organized its 51st board meeting, in which numerous important topics and projects were on the agenda. The project of the film chroniclers, which aims to preserve and make the cultural heritage of the region and make it visible. This year, further premiere evenings are planned in the St. Pölten Land and Lilienfeld districts, where local film jewels are presented. The interest in continuing this successful project has also aroused other municipalities in the Melk district.

Another important point of the session was the youth project Jumomi, the results of which were presented from a comprehensive youth survey. This survey is important at both regional and municipal level and will be distributed over various communication channels in the coming weeks. The aim is to make the opinions and needs of young people visible. At the moment you are looking for fresh ideas, especially in the field of nature.

general meeting in November

The preparations for the upcoming general meeting in November were also a central topic. Representatives of 40 member communities, civil society and regional partners are invited to this meeting. A look back at the successes of the LEADER region are being reviewed, and the next steps are planned together. A guest speaker who speaks to the current youth issues was also requested.

The chairman of the Leader region, Anton Gonaus, expressed his thanks to everyone involved and emphasized the need for joint efforts to promote regional development and to implement projects for the people on site.

For the Leader region Mostviertel-Mitte, one of 83 Leader regions based in Austria, it is important that 39 member communities and almost 81,000 inhabitants are represented. This region includes the small regions of Melktal, Hoch6, Pielachtal, Traisen-Gölsental and Gemaprima as well as other municipalities of the districts of Lilienfeld, Scheibbs and Melk. Since 2023, the region has been maintaining a privileged city partnership with the cultural city of St. Pölten, which is intended to further promote exchange and cooperation.
