Young ideas strengthen the Leader region Mostviertel-Mitte

The 18th general meeting of the Leader region Mostviertel-Mitte took place in the pretty Kirchberghalle an der Pielach, where around 70 participants gathered. Chairman Anton Gonaus welcomed an impressive list of guests of honor, including Mayor and regional manager such as Martin Leonhardsberger and Manuel Aichberger, who contributed to the event.

A big topic of the evening was the positive annual financial statements that Mayor Thomas Teubenbacher presented. His report on solid finances reflected the successful work of the LEADER region, which is important for future projects.

chairman Gonaus and managing director Petra Scholze-Wimmel looked back on a year full of exciting events. Particularly noteworthy are the premieres of the film chronicles and the fruit tree planting campaign, which help to raise awareness of sustainable practices in the region.

A particularly touching moment was the presentation of the Jumomi youth network. Thomas Tatosa from the Association for Youth and Lifestyle presented the results of a comprehensive youth survey. In numerous workshops, creative ideas were developed how young people can establish a deeper connection to nature. The young people also had the opportunity to put their concerns directly, which gave a special note for the evening.

motivation for future projects

State Youth Officer Wolfgang Juterschnig supplemented the topic with an overview of opportunities and funding opportunities for the youth in Lower Austria. His contribution encouraged those present to intensify the exchange and cooperation with the young people and to promote their ideas.

The evening found a sociable end, in which the participants came to talk to dirndl juice and dirndlmost and exchanged ideas. The commitment of the municipal representatives and the volunteers was particularly honored by chairman Gonaus.

The leader program promotes the development of rural regions and combines various participation methods as well as public and private organizations. The Leader region Mostviertel-Mitte comprises 40 member communities and has over 82,000 inhabitants. The region has had a partnership with St. Pölten since 2023, which represents a further enrichment for cultural and social development.
