Evacuation exercise in the PBZ Hainfeld: Emergency services trained in the event of a fire
Recently, a comprehensive evacuation exercise was carried out in the nursing and care center (PBZ) Hainfeld, which mobilized numerous emergency services. Six fire brigades from the region and the Hainfeld rescue worked hand in hand with the staff of the center and voluntary actors to simulate a realistic scenario that was a valuable experience for everyone involved.
The main goal of this exercise was to test the processes for the emergency and to strengthen the cooperation between the various rescue organizations. With a hypothetical fire in the building, the residents and employees had to be quickly brought to safety. This not only represented the preparation for a possible emergency, but also helped to optimize the response times and processes.
smooth cooperation
The exercise began with a staged fire event that required an immediate evacuation. A total of seven extras were involved, which acted as "mountains", including three residents of the PBZ. The fire brigade and rescue workers worked in a realistic environment to safely recover and bring the people to safety.
A special grade had the exercise through the participation of a makeup artist who realistically represented injuries. This measure contributed to the intensity of the exercise and prepared the emergency services for possible extraordinary situations. The event was a complete success and impressively demonstrated the smooth organization, which was led by the fire protection officer of the center and the head of the Hainfeld fire department.
"This exercise day was a complete success and shows the excellent cooperation between the various rescue organizations," said Michaela Lienhart, MSC, the nursing director, and Gabriela Galeta, the commercial director of the PBZ Hainfeld. They emphasized the importance of such exercises for the safety of the residents and the preparations for emergencies.
In addition, it was emphasized that the day not only served to train technical processes, but also to promote awareness of fire protection among residents, employees and relatives. Those responsible thanked all the emergency services and extras involved for their commitment and support during this decisive exercise. This type of exercise plays an essential role in preparation for real emergencies and contributes significantly to security in facilities such as the PBZ Hainfeld. In addition, it represents a valuable exchange between the various rescue organizations, which are always striving to ensure effective help and security.
