Successful exam for Lilienfeld's Rotkreuz search dog teams

On Saturday, November 16, three volunteers of the Rotkreuz search dog squadron Lilienfeld-St. Aegyd successfully underwent the strenuous area test (Flet) according to the ÖRK search dog guidelines. These tests are crucial to confirm the qualifications of the teams and to ensure their operational readiness.

A total of two of the teams competed for recertification, while a team passed his exams for the first time. All participants managed the challenges with flying colors and were able to demonstrate their professionalism.

The area test test was not a walk. The teams, consisting of a dog handler and her search dog, had to search two heavily forested areas of 40,000 square meters in daylight. In addition, it was necessary to strategically carry out a search for 2.5 kilometers in the dark. These demanding tasks were monitored by two ÖRK assessors who came from the search dog squadrons Baden and Wiener Neustadt.

"The performance of our search dog teams is an impressive proof of the intensive preparation and the extraordinary interaction between dog and dog handler: in. Your commitment and your professionalism are invaluable for our work," said relay commander Uwe Feldkirchner.

The successful completion of the exams now made it possible to send three specially trained human dog teams into active use. These teams are prepared for a variety of emergencies and contribute to the protection and security of the community.

The search dog squad would like to thank all assessors and supporters who have contributed to making the course of the exam smoothly.

A look at the local news shows that other interesting events took place, such as the opening ceremony of the kindergarten in Hainfeld or the Advent markets in the district that brought the festive mood.
