Lilienfeld library: Experience reading fright and community

The city library in Lilienfeld recently received an important visit when State Councilor Ludwig Schleritzko visited the facility. This visit was part of an initiative that aims to promote reading pleasure in Lower Austria and to support the work of the libraries. During his visit, Schleritzko emphasized the importance of reading, especially for the personal development and understanding of our world.

"Reading makes joy and creates opportunities. Because in order to be able to get to know and understand our world, the ability to read is crucial. Our Lower Austrian libraries promote reading pleasure and that in all regions of the country," said the State Council. His visit not only aims to support the litter loyalty, but also to strengthen the connection between the library and the community.

The importance of libraries

Mayor Manuel Aichberger also addressed a few words to those present. "Even as a child, I regularly visited our city library in the social center with my mother. There was and can be besides literature. Our small, but fine library also has a lot of" regular customers "and I thank our librarians warmly for their work, which is done with a lot of joy and dedication," said Aichberger. This shows that the city library is an important part of the community and is used across generations.

librarian Hannes Weissenböck informed the visitors that the city library currently has around 7,000 books and 200 games. "Come by, a visit pays off," he encourages the citizens. The library is open regularly at certain times: Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., so the population has the opportunity to use the numerous offers.

This visit is part of a broader initiative, which is funded by the meeting point for library. This position offers public libraries in Lower Austria support from further training offers and accompanies them in the establishment and revitalization. Offers are constantly being developed that promote reading pleasure and current and alive the library work.

As part of these efforts, the library teams regularly take place that strengthen the exchange and cooperation on site. The Lilienfeld city library is actively involved in promoting reading pleasure and making the library services accessible to the community, which is of great benefit to both old and new readers.
