Christmas for affected children: Lions bring hope to the flood area!

St. Pölten, Österreich - In a moving initiative, Lions Clubs in the St. Pölten region set a sign of hope. In view of the bad experiences of numerous children during the flood a few months ago, the collaboration of the Lions Club St. Pölten Jakob Prandtauer, Lions Lions Krems and Macro-Markt launched a Christmas campaign that should bring some joy to the affected children. Christmas presents were distributed to students in the 2nd class of the Markersdorf-Haindorf special school, handed over by Lions President Jörg Summer and Ralph Theuer as well as Managing Director Gerhard Holzinger, as on Noen.at reported.

international solidarity manifests itself

The campaign is an example of the commitment of the Lions Clubs not only locally, but also nationally. The Regio Lions, a network of Lions Clubs from Germany, Switzerland and France, show with their trinational activities how important solidarity and cooperation are across borders. They not only organize sporty events such as the 3-country run, but also campaign for youth camp offers. The Regio Lions pursue the goal of promoting intercultural exchange and at the same time gaining financial resources for social projects, as described on regio-lions.com

This Christmas act recalls that joint commitment in times of crisis can give the affected new hope. The joy and bright eyes of the children when receiving their gifts are the best proof that help arrives and warms heart.
