Easter concerts in the region: a festival for music lovers!

Krems Minoritenkirche, 3500 Krems an der Donau, Österreich - on Good Friday, April 18, the Krems Minorite Church, the Sound of the Festival "Imago Dei". Under the direction of Flora Königsberger, the concert choir Lower Austria will list the famous Partita D minor for violin Solo by Johann Sebastian Bach and Hugo Distler's "Dancing Dance". Violinist Cecilia Zilliacus will appear as a soloist. The festival has a permanent place in the region and is characterized by a variety of artistic performances. It is expected that numerous visitors will take part in the traditional festival.

In a special commemoration, the final concert "Hey Jo!" take place. This concert is designed as a tribute to the festival founder Jo Aichinger, who would have celebrated its 70th birthday on April 8th. On Holy Saturday, April 19, the Tonkünstler Orchestra Lower Austria under the direction of Alessandro de Marchi offers a performance "The Last Words of our Redeemer on the cross". The concert begins with an overture for Haydn's opera "L’Isola Disabitata" and the cantata "Arianna a Naxos". A Prélude will be presented at 4 p.m. by the Youth Symphony Orchestra in Lower Austria under the direction of Hannah Eisendle. On Easter Sunday, April 20, the friend (t) ensemble plays Joseph Haydn's "Paukenmesse" in the Stiftskirche Klosterneuburg. Daniel Freistetter takes over the management.
