tournament details

The games are played according to the Swiss system, a common tournament form that enables it to compete with a large number of players at the same time. The tournament results are also used for the national ELO rating, which is of particular importance for the participants, since the number of ELO reflects the playing strength of a chess player.

To take part in the tournament, players have to pay a entry fee: for Group B it is 30 euros, while Group A only costs 10 euros. Payments should be transferred to the chess club Ottenschlag, whereby the corresponding bank details are provided.

For the winners of the main tournament, attractive prices are advertised, including 300 euros for the first place, for second place 200 euros and for third place 100 euros. In addition, the participants can hope for various material prizes who appreciate the commitment and performance of the players.

In addition to the tournament offer, there is information on overnight accommodation in Dürnstein. The chess pension among the Fürtler family, which offers pleasant accommodation for players and their accompanying persons, is particularly recommended.
