18-year-old in Lower Austria: Drug trade with four kilos of cannabis uncovered

An 18-year-old man from the district of Krems faces serious allegations. He is accused of selling a total of around four kilograms of marijuana in the past three years in Krems, St. Pölten and Vienna. The local authorities estimate that his illegal trade has earned him a profit of around 40,000 euros.

According to a current police report, the young man has already stood his actions. The case has now been forwarded to the public prosecutor's office in Krems, which will examine the next steps. The investigation against the teenager was headed by the Lower Austria State Police Directorate, which was faced with numerous evidence.

Investigations and house search

The police went so far in their surveys that they carried out a house search with the accused. They not only found 63 grams of cannabis herb, but also 109 grams of hashish and eight grams of cannabis extract. In addition, the police also discovered nine grams of cocaine in the apartment as well as a gram of MDMA and amphetamine.

Another worrying aspect is the securing of 34,730 euros in cash, which indicates extensive financial transactions in connection with drug trafficking. The investigators are also trying to find other customers of the accused teenager. The question of how deeply the network of its customers is enough remains a central point in the ongoing investigation, and many hope that the authorities can soon bring more clarity.

The current situation throws a light on the challenges that the police have to cope with in the fight against drug crime. Young people are often the focus of such illegal activities. In this special case, it is important to recognize that the investigation is far from over. It remains to be seen how the matter will develop.
