Reinhard Wolf: Previous for the future of the RWA and the warehouse cooperatives

A significant change of management is imminent. Reinhard Wolf, the current board and long -time managing director, will dedicate his entire attention to the Baywa board in the coming months. Wolf said: "I was asked to be available to the Baywa on the board until a new management team was appointed, and I have agreed. He emphasized that the RWA was well positioned and that he could hand over the management to a competent team.

Johannes Schuster, who has been the director of the RWA since January 2024, will take over the business of the Österreichische Lagerhaus cooperatives together with Christoph Metzker, who has been part of the RWA leadership since 2003. The RWA is a central actor in agricultural economy and has an important role in the industry.

important milestones under Reinhard Wolf

Under the direction of Reinhard Wolf, numerous decisive measures were taken, which the RWA significantly promoted on its way to the future. His career began in the Austrian Raiffeisen goods center, and he was actively involved in the foundation of today's RWA. In 2009 he took over the position of the board director for agricultural and energy and became general director in 2013.

One of his most striking decisions was the expansion of the agricultural business in Central and Southeast Europe. This also included the foundation of an innovation platform that is strategically important for the further development of the RWA. In addition, significant progress in the areas of house & garden and building materials were realized, supplemented by the optimization of logistics. A milestone in Wolf's term was also the focus on renewable energy sources, such as transformation to pellets and photovoltaics.

Another important step was the greatest acquisition in the history of the RWA - the purchase of feed producer Patentco in Serbia and the associated establishment of a multinational feed holding company. The construction of a new company headquarters in Korneuburg represents a special highlight of his career.

Michael Göschelbauer, the RWA's chairman of the supervisory board, thanked Reinhard Wolf over the years for his forward -looking management over the years. "I am convinced that Johannes Schuster will successfully continue the history of the RWA and the warehouse cooperatives," said Göschelbauer. Schuster brings fresh ideas that could lift the RWA to the next stage. The next few months are exciting and crucial for the future orientation of the RWA.
