Serious accident on the LB2: drivers saved for rollover
on November 29, around 3 p.m., officials from the Brunn/Wild police inspection heard a loud bang while performing laser measurements on the LB2. On the opposite side, they noticed a car that had rolled into an adjacent field via an embankment and overturned several times. This dramatic scene required immediate action.
The police officers immediately hired the rescue chain and informed the fire brigade and emergency services. Together with their colleagues, they went to the accident, which had come to a standstill about 200 meters in the field.
The course of the accident
The car was on the driver's side and smoke, possibly from the triggered airbags, was visible. The officials were able to communicate with the driver, who was luckily available via the broken rear window. A policeman then climbed to the vehicle to open the passenger door and have the smoke pulled off.
The driver was slightly confused, but able to take a slap independently. A chance passing by accident also helped first aid and stayed in contact with the man throughout the entire time. Shortly after the first measures, the fire brigades Brunn arrived on the Wild, Atzelsdorf and Frauenhofen. They removed the windscreen of the car so that they could surely rescue the injured person out of the car.
After a first aid in the ambulance, the driver was brought to the State Clinic Horn with injuries to the Horn State Clinic. Due to several rib fractures, it was not possible to carry out an alkotest. After consultation with the treating doctor, alcoholization could be excluded.
The regulation of traffic on site took over the strips of the Horn and Gars/Kamp police. The completely destroyed car was recovered by the Atzelsdorf fire brigade and then transported through the Horn fire department to the building yard in Brunn on the game. Road cleaning was also launched by the fire brigade.
