New game paradise for the Kita Audenspel in Solingen: Track tapes!
Another important construction project will be launched in Solingen in the coming year: The Stadt-Sparkasse is investing another 20,000 euros in the construction of a new game landscape. This is done as part of a trainee construction project that has been successfully implemented since 2007. The work is to take place in the second May week, more precisely from May 5th to 9th, 2025. There, the trainees and dual students of the Stadt-Sparkasse will create a hand to redesign the outdoor area of the KiTa Vorspel on Klemens-Horn-Straße.The decision to take the day care center into account was made by a jury made by employees of the Stadt-Sparkasse and the media representatives of the Solingen Tageblatt and Radio RSG. The current game situation in the daycare center is no longer up to date because the existing play equipment is now 75 years old and are urgently getting on in years.

In the KiTa Vorspel, around 110 children are currently playing, including more than ten percent with disabilities. This inclusion is an important aspect because the children spend a lot of time outdoors. The old tree population on the property helps to create an attractive game environment. "The great demand and the creative application of the facility have convinced us to treat this location to the artisan arts of the trainees," said Svenja Dick, project manager of the Sparkasse.
On the site, comprehensive plans for new, child -friendly play options are planned. As early as January 2025, the first preliminary talks with the daycare team should take place in order to integrate their ideas and wishes into the planning. This shows the participation approach that the Stadt-Sparkasse pursues in order to adapt the offers to the needs of the children.
Since the start of the project, 16 different schools and facilities have been renewed for children. Most recently, the outdoor area of the Carl Russ School in Merscheid was revitalized this year. The diverse projects implemented by the committed trainees not only show manual skills, but also promote the sense of community of the participants and the appreciation of important social institutions.
Overall, these construction activities not only decide on the play opportunities of the children, but also show the social commitment of the Stadt-Sparkasse, which thus makes a valuable contribution to the promotion of child-friendly facilities in Solingen.
